Damn.. how did you do that.. Your CPU is only faster by 200MHz and your 9800Pro Has a lower core clock than my 9600XT

9800Pro has 2x the pixel pipelines of the 9600 series + the 9800 series has 256bit memory path, makes for 2x the bandwidth of the 9600 series.

Oh and 3dmark03 really only tests the 3dcard, I got 5.2k on my crap rig.

I got 5.4 first time on 3.4 cats (ones it came with) without doing anything else, then tried on 3.7's got a lower score, gonna try the Omega drivers next, will save the next one.

Tried Omega's lowered my score by about 100 marks non 340 Build, this is first 340 Build Benchy, 5350 marks... doesn't seem too bad.

Clock Frequencies dont show the true performance of a graphics card , there are lots of other factors , just because your card runs at a higher frequency then another (gpu or memory) doesnt mean its faster/better.

Downloaded 3D03 , will post results later.

Hmmm seems my 3Dmark2001SE score isnt all that bad then seeing as its just a bit above yours and my system running just a bit faster, I think the ram must be the bottleneck then, might get some Kingmax DDR PC3500.
