Well a buddy of mine, AcidJazz from TeamAMD just got his new system (well he's about to put together) he is good friends with Opp (im sure you must have heard of this dude, here are samples: sample1, sample2 of twhat this guy does for fun)

Anyway long story short I mentioned your puppy runing at 3Ghz, so I told him I wanted him to run a few benchies on his chip so that we could compare the $800 beast against your $90 marvel...

so anyway are you up for runing a couple of tests to see how close your puppy gets to this exorbitant $800 chip??

nothing to compete with YET.... but any friend of opp may as well be opp so thats one hell of a challenge dont you think? have to pay a few debts theb ill be able to try and replace that 2600 molbile i fried...

ill take him on with my intel 3.0c @ 4300mhz Cheesy

That will sure be something to see. A 4300mhz intel vs fx53. I think it will be close but i think the 4300 will come on top, especially in the pure cpu benches.

Damn man, that sucks... I really wanted to see how that AMD of yours did..

but the intel is not a bad challenge either, can you do a few sandra, pcmark, aquamark (CPU), 3dmark03 (CPU) runs and post the screenies here?

nope i got both amd kit and intel kit im waiting on the 64/new intel platform kit. they are out of buisness so i need to get all the kits for all the main platforms or else ill be S**t out of luck...

anyways sure ill run a batch of bench marks and post them. now i am not going to format and fine tune the system im just going to run the tests with everything going on in the back ground so make sure he runs his tests the same way. later when i have time ill format and tune that way he can have some more acurate scores to compare to. also i had to rma my infinity mb so once its back i still have my 2500 barton the desktop one i got that ran 2600mhz on air. that chip just might do 3gigs i have never put it in the freezer so dont count me out on the amd tests either. just need to get back on my feet with amd seems ive had a S**t load of bad luck as of late? anyways man ill post back some intel scores at 4gigs 1:1 using 8,4,4,3 timmings ddr500 then ill try my bh-5 and try tight timmings... either way i think ill give him a run for his money. if i rember right at 3700mhz my cpu sandra score was 11879mbs but ill re-run and take screen shots for you...

this is a stock 3dmark run no oc on the video card and system running 15x250 1:1 not bad uh?

yeah thats not bad, but the main thing here is the CPU score, his 3dmark is 30K+ (he has a X800XT PE)

that sucks that you had a run of bad luck, but there is always ups and downs, good luck man... I'm sure you can give him some good competition

I'll look forward to your AMD O/C as well with the 2500+

Don't forget to add on 500dollars for the cooling perc has or whatever insane cooling he uses.

the guys is scoring 30k in 3dmarks hes using the same insane cooling i am. even on air i was scoring 20k at defualt settings with this rig. rember my cpu is super cooled not my video card. anways yes neo ill give it a shot with my intel but i cant compete with 30k not even with this 9800xt i have here 25k is going to be my goal for now...

at 2600mhz it was set to 1.7v it was 2700mhz that i had to use 1.9v on phase change the 2600mhz was 1.55v and 3000mhz was 1.95v so you can see the phasechange realy helped alot. thing is man at 3000mhx these molbiles put out alot more heat then the prescott ever thought of putting out!! anyways my mb should be back from rma so ill just use this 2500 i have its not a molbile but it did 2600mhx on air so id imagine 28/2900mhz wont be out of the wuestion? i dont think 3gigs will be possible though....

yeah they are man but the super pi is one prog the 64 chip rocks in. If i rember right? the sandra tests wasnt so forgiving. have him run sandra cpu test and give you scores. i rember my 3200 64 at 2400mhz would score like 11480 points or so and my intel was faster but all that was a while back so im not so clear on it anymore? your probly going to find that any intel running 4gigs will probly score within a reasonable range of the fx chips. i mean its almost a given that amd at 26/2800mhz is about 37/4000mhz intel....

well his memory scores are as good as they get. i can score about 6200ish using 1:1 but thats with timmings of 3,4,4,8. i can see he's running a tight 11,2,2,2 1t. im not even going to try and catch that score, atleast not with this memory anyways, maybe i can throw in my bh-5 and use the same ,11,2,2,2,1t settings and see? anyways heres a cpu test. i didint oc it to 4gigs cause even at 3700mhz i was able to win this one. anyways man i get the feelin this guy your getting these scores from knows whats going on....

here is a better memory score at 270 1:1 still using 8,4,4,3 timmings but not bad considering. also a cpu test at 4gigs.. now you take into consideration the fx-53 will set you back 800 bucks plus and the fact this guys scores are pretty much top of the top the intel isnt doing to bad. i think even if i were back on air id still be able to reach these scores using my intel rig. also im running the tests while i got pages loaded progs runnin in the back ground ect...

The FX-53 is relatively new, it will go far, the P4, is at the end of it's life.

2600mhz i think hes alittle more then a 100mhz oc going on there (not too sure what a fx-53 comes stock at?)? hes also using sub zero cooling just like me so i would hardly say hes running stock vrs my 4gig oc....

yeah they are 2400mhz stock. well even still at 869 bucks ill deff stick to my oced intel chip for now.
