Well i just couldnt break away from intel. I wanted to go A64 but the selection of 939 mobos just didnt satisfy me and i have to have this comp built before i go back to school. So here is what the new system will be.

good luck with that system, I was in the same boat as you as far as 939 socket boards for A64's however 1 mobo is about to come out that made me go A64, I got a 3500+ with the MSI K8N Neo2 board which is the top A64 board right now and fully supports all the nforce3 features..
the mobo is actually not for sale until the end of this week/beginging of next however it has won several awards already..
anyway it will be fun to compare your system to mine once we get them assebled..

The 3500+ paired with a nforce 3 is what i wanted to do but it costs more and i couldnt wait any longer for a good mb to come out. Hopefully i can get a good oc out the intel.

Looks like a great setup to me BlackHawk, and I hope it does well for you. There are a lot of P4C800 setups out there OCX'ing their asses off, so it's very likely you've a winner combo...

same set up as mine except for the 6800U and the asus mb. looks good. i got real lucky with my 3.0c the first one i ever owned runs 3800/3900 with a sp-94 and 92mil tornado and ofcourse with the mach1 it goes a tad faster.... youl like it man ive pitted mine up against a fx53 and didnt loose that much infact the scores would suprise you. now that was at 4200mhz but still.... good luck mate hope all goes smooth for you...

damn mb is DOA. Post beep says its the keyboard controller. Messed with it the last 4 hours with no luck. So now its RMA time. Only the 2nd mb i have every gotten that was dead when i got it. Good thing i got it from the egg.

are you using a usb mouse? try a ps2 mouse some mbs wont run usb mouse until after all drivers and S**t installed? know it sounds weird but ive had it happen to me. also try moving the sticks of memory around the diff slots and just use one stick try all that plus the clear c-mos trick pop the bat out im sure the board isnt dead. never hurts to try anyways right? i mean whats teh worse thing you have to send it back....

yeah i tried it all...cleared the cmos...threw multiple mice and keyboards at it...removed the battery...post code matched the errors i was getting. The two times it did post the keyboard didnt work and so i couldnt even get to the bios.
Also since it wouldnt even post i couldnt try to flash it either. The mobo is on its way back to the egg. I'm still waiting on my 6800U anyway. I HATE waiting LOL
