i formatted too, reinstalled i still get  this stupid Cry engine error oh yeah it isnt the same error everytime i get a couple differences every onece in a whille

Yea well the game isnt that great, I mean its good but not worth spending hours trying to fix it.

My far cry crashed before, no idea why and I couldnt be bothered to fix it right now anyway...

Was this after you got your 9800? maybe far cry has an issue with 9800 cards and AMD CPUs? Just a thought as it has never crashed on my system.

Funnily enough, yes...
I used to play farcry at 1024x768 at low-medium detail on my old 9200, so I decided to take it for a spin at high-very high detail on the 9800, loaded up the training level in an new profile, and crashed about a quarter or half way through the level, maybe its something to do with the 1.2 patch, I still got that installed. I'm using the offical 4.9 cats from ati, the old control panel version...

I'll have another try soon, find out what that error was...

My farcry problem seems to have gone away, I was playing it for like 3 hours yesterday... Maybe a driver issue?
