I need your help and ideas guys!!!
I've made the decision of where I want my life to go, and i've decided to become an airline pilot. It's always been my dream, but I just started finding out about it now.
The Problem The problem is that I need to pluck $70,000AUS (or $49,000US or 28,000 pounds) out of my butt to pay for the pilot training, and it's money I don't and never will have. I need ideas from you guys on how I can get ahold of this amount of money. Any ideas are appreciated (keep em realistic, I can't rob a bank!).
Hope together you guys can help me work out a solution!!
Cheers Davo

if it was this easy bro, everyone would be doing it...
Your best bet is to build some credit and then get a loan or there are also programs all the time for people that wishes to learn new skills, just look around and contact your local officers, they are ussually helpful for stuff like this..
or move to the US and be a pilot for $49.99 hehe, thats right first lesson is $49.99, but overall is not that expensive (not the $50.000 you said)
Also you cant just be a comercial pilot just like that, you need 100's of hours of flight time before you can even pilot a comercial jet (airline pilot) so its not just as easy as I wanna be an airline pilot, you have to work for it, so 1st go out and make some calls and see what you can find.

Yeh, I've been lookin around, I'm leaning towards the QANTAS Cadet Program or doing a Degree or Diploma in Aviation. Ill prob just have to take out a loan. It's really expensive in Australia to do this sort of thing for some reason.

Thats cool man, i was looking at doing this as well cuz i love flying... but i ended up decideding that it wouldnt be best for me / lifestyle etc... anyways
It is pretty expensive, it costed me 70 bucks for a introductory flight but i think fuel prices are dearer here in aus.. anyways yeh go for it i say If thats want you want to do dont bugger up hours in life... just go and do it... i dunno a loan seems the way to go.. then u will get it all back in neally the first year probably.... when ur finished.
Alot of people when they get there commecrial licence build up hours flying charters around the place cuz you need alot of hours to be a airline pilot. so yeh its all good lots of money in it and theres plenty of work!

Davo man, long time!
Isn't their a way to sign a contract with the airline now where THEY pay for the training now and they keep some of your wages(not all of them) until you pay them back, or maybe you don't even have to pay them back....
