not that full of S**t.  Both AMD and Intel are looking to move to Dual Core(two cores, one die, one socket) to help improve performence but keep heat down.  Both AMD and intel are looking at next year for this

yeah you owe him a "sory" for sure. the dual core concept is somthing intel has been looking at since the scraping of thier tejis core that got S**t canned a few months back. seems intel has reached that mhz wall and now has to look at other ideas to ramp up the performance. i cant wait to get my hands on one of these chips. i hope this isnt somthing that we read about forever and never comes out....

yep amd and intel will both be coming out with dual core CPU's sometime next year (hopefully).  I will definitely be buying one as soon as I can afford one.... man they're going to be sweet.

Whatever happened to Prescotts hitting 5 ghz before Q1 2006?  Tejas at some insanely high number above that?  Intel likes mhz, I doubt that even with dual core than they're going to admit that they just hit a wall as far as clock speed.  I'm pretty skeptical about how the whole thing is going to turn out, and there's definitely going to be one company way above the other in the dual-core arena.  There's no way that one of them wasn't struggling to scrap something together when they both convenienently unveiled their dual-core chips within a week of each other.  At least that's my conspiracy nut theory.  Either way it's going to make for one very interesting battle next year....unless they go the road of everything else in this field of interest and set dates they know they can't make.

nah man i dont mean oc'ed cpus, i meant the ones that you can pick up off the shelf... of course you will always be able to OC a cpu way higher than the original specs... damn that thing at 5ghz must've been fast...

lol. But ya those new dual cores are gunna be sweet. I am more into the way of keeping the heat down tho more then anything. I really hate heat in my comp. This should have been done a while ago. So glad its finally gunna happen soon.
