Fan or new heatsink/fan combo for Gigabyte Maya Radeon 9000 Pro ???
« on: October 07, 2004, 08:22:11 PM »

The fan on my Gigabyte Maya Radeon 9000 Pro is quickly going down the drain, making all those cranky noises. I have cleaned it and lubed it and its just gonna go.

I have been to Jaycar and Dickys and they just dont stock the right size fan the right depth at the right voltage.

Can anyone recommend n affordable fan or fan/heatsink to replace the original. I am in Australia so if I can get it sent from an Aus distributor or locate it through my local PC tech then that would be handy.

one solution
use a pci extraction fan and mod it so it encloses the top of the heatsink

it should work well enough
