today i got my prescott in the mail so im a happy camper! i have just enough seal string to mount it and if i screw up im back to air cooling until i get more string. heres a pic of the prescott i tried to get a close up of the stepping but my camera sucks at close up pics so this is the best i could mange....
the prescott the pic bellow is the new north bridge heat sink made by thremalrite im going to attempt to put that on my IC7 ortherwise it will go on my nf7 when it gets back...

Oh i almost forgot the last piece of the puzle the memory  i got this stuff from farmer i hope to see some decent results from it? im used to using the pc4000 stuff it has the loose timmings and is verry easy to reach 250/270 1:1 where as ill be lucky to reach 250 1:1 using the 2,2,2,11,6 timmings of the bh-5. another thing is the voltage to the memory the bh-5 likes alot of juice to clock as high as it does? well ill just have to wait and see maybe ill get lucky? who knows maybe ill just have this mb volt modded when my amd rig gets back? oh well ill keep you guys posted. im just about ready to shut down and start installing the new prescott. so stay tuned i should be back running 4200mhz np at all? i hear these things can clock as high as 5gigs!!?? peace perc, [attachment deleted by admin] |

ok got my north bridge all ready to mount. look at this thing its awsome ite like a little mini 900U!! the thing is good quality and by far the best nb cooler alt out there. it comes with both intel and amd mounting kits so it can go on both intel and amd. anyways here is a pic of it already to instal i will post more pics as i go..

ok here is the prescott installed on the mb with the new thermalrite heat sink for the north bridge. the other pic is the mb back in the case and the mach1 is hooked up. ok stay tuned for how this thing oc's? so far the temps arent much more then the other 3.0c so thats good....

ok this cpu is just as good an ocer as the 3.0C i have so thats a plus! now i can sell my 3.0C to anyone whos looking for a kick arse ocing intel chip? anyways i have it running 3831mhz 1.5v 1:1 prime stable for over 9 hours now so its safe to say that this system is stable at these speeds. now its time to up the oc and then test that. i have a feeling this chip is going to give me 4.2/4.4 gigs just going to have to wprk for it i supose? ok guys ill post more later when i run some bench marks.....

oh its a good ocer all right but i would not recomend this cpu to anyone that doesnt have a phasechange unit! here look at these temps! this is a the chips defualt v-core of 1.33v under a load oced to 3759mhz. now usaly my temps stay in the negitives note the 6c temp!! peace perc, [attachment deleted by admin] |

im using the defualf 15x still i havent started playing around with the multi's yet. il probly try them out later this weekend? i still need to install that memory i got from you and see how it runs? im sure with being able to adjust the multi in combonation with that bh-5 stuff ill probly be able to reach 300? i usaly go the loosing timmings route but think i may check out how it runs with the tight timmings? anyways man it sucks about that deal going bad for damm sure. peace perc, |
