There is no way around the SLK 947 and 900 U... NO WAY around that at all.
I am sure Perc can fill you in with his experiences with this heatsink.

no i loved that sink infact when i sold the 64 system i tried not to sell it but the kid insisted i sell it too. the reason i say the 900U is cause to date thermalrite has yet to make one that will run better then thier org 900U. you go and read  some reviews where they have tested the 900U against the 947U and other amd heat pipes and the 900U always comes out on top....

perc,

Well check this out 947U for $20USD!! (came to $26 shipped).  I just ordered one of these suckers to get rid of this Volcano 11+.

From the reviews I've seen there's minimal difference between the 947u and 900 and on some of the tests I saw, both heat sinks performed the exact same.  BUT the 900 is still slightly better by 1 or 2 degrees celcius on average.  You can't really go wrong with either one.
