That's pretty nice.  Conroe looks like it's going to be a real winner for Intel to stick it to AMD.

yeah,

its definitelly killing AMD, until they at least release their 65nm parts, then comp should even out..

My best SPI32 time is 28 secs.  @ 2.8ghz

indeed...

Kind of a simular situation back when nVidia released its 7 series, which blew all ATI had to offer, however given a little time ATI managed to release its X1k series and rose to the top, now they are even in performance and price ratio.

Although Im really shocked about the overclocked FX vs. the conroe, just plain unbelievable...  omfg

-Nobody really knows, but LATE 2006.  SO say 6+ months.

-Not nforce4, nforce 5 maybe (no conroe mobo specifically designed for it exists yet)..

by that time, the 7900GTX will be outdated.
