Homer: Marge? Since I'm not talking to Lisa, would you please ask her to pass me the syrup?
Marge: Dear, please pass your father the syrup, Lisa.
Lisa: Bart, tell Dad I will only pass the syrup if it won't be used on any meat product.
Bart: You dunkin' your sausages in that syrup homeboy?
Homer: Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning.
Marge: Tell him yourself, you're ignoring Lisa, not Bart.
Homer: Bart, thank your mother for pointing that out.
Marge: Homer, you're not not-talking to me and secondly I heard what you said.
Homer: Lisa, tell your mother to get off my case.
Bart: Uhhh, dad, Lisa's the one you're not talking to.
Homer: Bart, go to your room.

this sounds like a power issue, or ur ram timmings are too tight... Try and raise ur vcore a bit.

Peace,

sounds like a case of a failing PSU or a possable HDD failure. I had a maxtor that just kept doing that. It was al ways shutting off and the only way I could fix it is by gettina new HDD Tongue. Do you ever hear a clicking sound, when using your comp? If you do then its a HDD problim, if its just shuttin down, you can try two things. Reconnect the power to your mobo, make sure its not loose, and check all power wiers to make sure none of em are loose. Thats about it. But listen for that *click* sound, that means a dieing HDD.

doupt it would be tha CPU fan it would heat up way to fast, and damn near every mobo now has a temp sensor to prevent the cpu from burning up. They usually make a painfully loud beeping alarm and if you ignore it, the power is cut.

But still that is somthing to look into.

ALso, is there anyway you could list the specs of your system, it really is the best way for us to get to the problim.

I really mean specs, brand name of HDD, what type of ram, the timings on the ram, the psu wattage and the maker, everything.

My friend was running a P1 , and that was about 2 years ago Tongue He would boot into windows get on the net and then his pc would restart , i actually found it funny when id up his case to see a fan which stopped working and had fallen off with the cpu left exposed with all this dust and crap on it.

Yeah, most systems can run idle without cooling, but underload well that's a different story.

Or it could be your video card's fan same problem here. I had a fan on my video card that went bad and once i replace ran like nothing happend. Try changing to a new video card and see if it does the same thing. Trust me it might be this either the fan is not running fast enough or it will stop. Dont let the fans running make you think they are good they maybe not be running at a good rpms. "Z"

well i known issues about that and it was about the mobo contatcs the case and thats why it's shortcutting. Just fourfold up a paper and put it between case and mobo. I hope this helps.

I know what it is!! I bet it is the little ppl. They like messing with ya!! They screw with me all the time too!! You know how to catch them!! I tell you but this is a very hidden seceret that should not go any further but this forum!! Well what you do is you leave your computer on and you play Irish music all the time and have some irish beer next to your computer. Make sure you get really small cups for them or they would be really pissed. Because they think your toying with them and then they would defintly mess with your cpu. I recommend going for the doll house size cups. Since the little ppl love Irish music and like to drink why would they would never turn off you computer!  Grin Grin "Z"
