Problem with counterstrike

Hello,  just installed cs again and it looks really crappy and very chopy, and i also noticed that there is a line going across the screen, it isnt like a perfect line and it is like clear.
If you know anything i could do to resolve this issue respond,  thanks alot

and i have a 9800pro and i tried a bunch of different cats...

nope,  its really wierd,  i tried cat3.7 and its i dont get that line now, but its still choppy,  i mean a 230 dollar card should b able to run a game better than a 50 dollar gf3,  u kno what i mean

Well im using the 3.9's and when i play cs i must admit even with 8af and 4aa and quality is not as good as my old ti4200 ! However other games the 9800pro just has sooo soo much better iq like when i play bf or halo etc etc

have you got it set tol or direct3d? because those sound like conditions of running counterstrike in software emulated mode.

For Internet
rate 9999
cl_rate 9999


some handy things
cl_weather 0 (for the rain in de_aztec it will set it off)
cl_dynamaniccroshair(keeps you croshair small)

(I got 300 fps)
