Apple iPod nano review September. 09, 2005 @ 12:35AM GMT +10 |
Overclockers Australia check out Apples new iPod nano:
Out with the mini... in with the nano. Apple today announced that they are dropping the iPod mini from their product lineup and replacing it with a new product, the iPod nano. If we weren't supposed to eat the iPod shuffle, then we better make sure we don't accidently inhale the iPod nano, because it's a lot smaller. At first it looks like it's larger, but when carrying it around it's a lot nicer than a shuffle, as it's slim, not bulky, and slots nicely into your wallet. |

Shi Tao sent foreign websites and news agencies the text of an internal Communist Party message which warned of social unrest on the 15th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Samsung breaches DVD wars September. 07, 2005 @ 11:20PM GMT +10 |
It looks like, in the midst of all the infighting for the high resolution DVD format of the future, Samsung may well be the only company with their heads right where they belong - on their shoulders.
Since Sony and Toshiba can't agree to play nice with each other, Samsung's head of consumer electronics said that we would welcome a unified standard but if this doesn't come, which looks likely, we'll bring a unified solution to market. Cue the first dual format - Blu-Ray and HD-DVD - players for the consumer market, promised in the course of the next year.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Toshiba Corp. (6502.T: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday it may delay the year-end launch of its next-generation HD DVD players, potentially undermining its advantage as the first supplier to put such machines on the market.

Multi-DVD XBOX 360 games? September. 04, 2005 @ 08:58AM GMT +10 |
A senior Japanese developer of upcoming Role-Playing Game Enchant Arm for the Xbox 360 has warned that the DVD standard may not cut it anymore. Speaking to Gamespot, he said that "The volume of data in Enchant Arms won't fit into a single DVD. It's an RPG, so we're thinking it would be inevitable that we release it on two discs. But to be honest, that's even looking grim."
