Where did 1024 go?
« on: April 21, 2004, 07:55:37 PM »

I was playing battlefield and noticed that the settings were screwed the text was unreadable.
I checked the resolution settings in Battlefield Vietnam and noticed that the 1024 setting was GONE like it never was there, I had 800 X 600 and 1152, but the 1024 is not there.
I played at 1024 before and I know my card and driver can take it as my desktop res is 1024 and allways have been.

But it is gone! Any ideas on how I can force it on?

Okay now I did that, but I got an even more funny bug...
I can now see through buildings, all there is that I can see is the black shade around the base of the building the rest is transparent including doors, I can see the stuff on the inside like medic lockers and ammo crates but besides that, NOTHING!

This is getting out of hand.

Seems like u have to do 2 things :
Completely obliterate the driver, use an utility for that.
Reinstall both the driver and the game.

I hope it does the trick.

i had the same stupid problem, with my 9800 pro. it is because of refresh rates. i used a program like refresh force that permanatly changed rates and it would mess up bfv at certain resolutions. now, i have to use 75 hz on all resolutions except 1600 x 1200 i use custom 68 hz. try different refresh rates.

thats another thing that ati doesnt have, a decent refresh fix in the drivers. and i am still pissed that there is no digital vibrance like on nvidia cards. people say ati cards "look better" but it still can't beat an nvidia with pumped up colors.
